Overview
Presentation House Theatre (PHT) is a creative hub that offers North Vancouver a dynamic mix of theatre, music, dance, and other exciting programs.
Goal
Build a recognizable, cohesive brand identity that feels modern but not too trendy, and that appeals to a wider range of North Vancouver locals.
PROCESS
About PHT
PHT’s previous branding didn’t reflect what they actually do day-to-day, and the team felt it wasn’t clearly communicating their focus on community and the arts.
Exploration
After pitching 3 ideas to the client, we settled on a theme that uses bright colours, a bold and reusable logo, and works on both light and dark backgrounds.
We wanted to center the brand around the new tagline “Celebrate Community. Celebrate Art.”, as the previous tagline “Where Ideas Play” did not convey what PHT did.
BRAND SYSTEM
What we did
We ended up spending a lot of time iterating, much more than what I’ve shown above. We settled on some colours, typography, and logo that feels modern but not trendy, and most importantly, REUSABLE!
If you look closely, we tried to subtly include the letters PHT in the primary logo.

I extended the new system into social templates so the voice, colour, and logo read consistently across posts and stories.
